For the bruises and cuts I wanted to search how to make them realistic and not too stagey so It doesn't look too fake. I found a makeup tutorial which shows how to create bruises well and they do not create an exaggerated look.
The following video is a tutorial on how to create scratches with makeup which is effective because in a fight people easily get scratched on the floor and by each other therefore it would be a useful skill for us to have and know for the fight scene.
